Janice M. Adkins
(September 10, 1936 - December 24, 2013)

Ms. Janice M. Adkins, 77, 0f Huntington, formerly of Midkiff, WV, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Her funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm, Friday, December 27, 2013 at Chapman’s Mortuary, with Rev. Paul Stevens officiating. Entombment will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. She was born September 10, 1936 at Midkiff, WV, a daughter of the late Jurana and Estelle Davis Adkins. She was retired as a bookkeeper with Western-Southern Life Insurance Company. She loved attending church and volunteered with many agencies, including the West End Senior Citizens Center, and the Salvation Army. Also preceding her in death were a baby brother, Homer Adkins and a brother, Gaylen Adkins & a sister, Lola Adkins. Surviving are a brother, Louie H. Adkins of Ona, and nieces and nephews and their spouses: Kevin and Kim Adkins of Barboursville, Ricky G. and Marsha Adkins of Ona, Kimberly Adkins of Huntington, Angie and Bobby Rose and Amy and Randy McComas all of Ona. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until time of service on Friday, December 27, 2013 at Chapman’s Mortuary.
