James E Buchanan
(August 28, 1940 - December 8, 2013)



James E. Buchanan 73, of Huntington, husband of Celia Click Buchanan, passed away Sunday, December 8, 2013, in Huntington Health and Rehab. A memorial service will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, December 15, 2013, at Guyandotte United Methodist Church, with Pastor Mike Chapman officiating. He was born August 28, 1940, in Huntington, WV a son of the late Winfred L. and Ella Ours Buchanan. In addition to his parents, a sister Louella Wright also preceded him in death. He was a member of the Guyandotte United Methodist Church, and a truck driver for Central Sales. Survivors in addition to his wife include: two sons and a daughter-in-law, James E. Buchanan, II of Huntington, and Mark Allen and Amy Buchanan of Barboursville; three grandchildren, Benjamin James Buchanan, Aleck Michael Buchanan and Bryleigh Hazel-Ann Buchanan all of Barboursville; two sisters, Della Mae Walls of South Point, OH, and Mary Sellards of Lavalette. Mr. Buchanan was an avid outdoorsman that loved to fish and hunt, and loved his family and grandchildren beyond measure. In his spare time he was a TV repairman, helping people 7 days a week. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Guyandotte United Methodist Church general fund. Friends may call after 1:00 pm Sunday at the church.
