Obituary

Arthur Lee Adkins
(February 23, 1928 - October 17, 2014)


Arthur Lee Adkins, 86, of Barboursville, WV, died Friday October 17, 2014 at his residence. Funeral service will be conducted at noon on Sunday October 19, 2014 at Ridgelawn Memorial Parks Abbey of Devotion with Pastor Michael Triplett officiating. Burial will follow. Arthur was born February 23, 1928 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Lee & Janie Adkins. He retired from CSX Railroad and was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Korean War. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Edith & Elois Adkins and one brother, John E. Adkins. Survivors include one niece Carolyn Duncan & husband Bill of Kitts Hill, OH, one nephew John A, Adkins of Barboursville, several great nieces & nephews and one great great nephew. The family would like to thank Hospice of Huntington for their very welcomed help. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington. Friends may call at Ridgelawn Memorial Park’s Abbey of Devotion after 11:00 AM on Sunday.
