Obituary

Bernie E. Lowe
(September 7, 1925 - October 14, 2014)


Bernie E. Lowe 89, of Huntington, WV, husband of Emilie Muller Lowe, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014, in Huntington Health and Rehabilitation. Funeral services will be conducted 12:00 noon Saturday, October 17, 2014, at Chapman’s Mortuary with Rev. John Earl Lowe officiating. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, with military graveside rites conducted by Veterans Honor Guard Post 16. He was born September 7, 1925, in Huntington, a son of the late Sherman and Betty Finley Lowe. A son, Fritz Sherman Lowe, one sister, Vada Mae Short, and two brothers Paul Lowe, Sr., and Sherman Edmond Lowe also preceded him in death. He was a World War II US Army veteran serving in all four branches of the military. He retired from the Cold Draw Department at INCO, was a member of VFW Post 9738, The American Legion and the Dulcimer Society. Survivors in addition to his wife include; one brother, John Earl Lowe and his wife Mary Ann of Huntington; two granddaughters, Tiffany Dawn Lowe Kendrick and Kimberly Noel Martin Lowe Kendrick; three great grand-children, Brittany Kendrick, Natasha Martin and Braxton Ferguson; one great-great granddaughter, Delilah Martin; several nieces and nephews.
