Obituary

Sharon Blake Dudley Seay
(August 8, 1939 - October 5, 2014)



Sharon Dudley Seay, 75, of South Point, OH, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014, in St. Mary’s Medical Center. Sharon was born August 8, 1939 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Rev. A. E. and Hilda Abrams Blake. Her husband, Harry D. “BobSeay and a son, Timothy Craig Dudley, also preceded her in death. She was a Licensed Practical Nurse; a part time EMT with SEOEMS; a retired Health Occupations teacher with the Cabell County Career Technical Center; and a Weight Watchers Leader. Survivors include: a daughter, Cindy Dudley Marshall (Gordon McClellan) of Lavalette, WV; a granddaughter, Lindsay (Nathaniel) Bias of Lavalette; a sister, Gail (Dick) Jenkins of Huntington; and a brother, Charles A. (Rosemarie) Blake of Jacksonville, FL. At Sharon’s request, her body was donated to the Human Gift Registry through Marshall University. Memorial services will be conducted 7:30 pm Thursday, October 9, 2014, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Jerry Galloway officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 7:30 pm Thursday at Chapman’s Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Sharon’s memory to the Hoops Family Children’s Hospital, c/o Velma Workman at 1340 Hal Greer Blvd. Huntington, WV 25701.
