Charles A. Duke, 96, of Huntington, WV, died Thursday April 7, 2016 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday April 11, 2016 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, White Chapel Mausoleum, Barboursville, WV, with Pastor R. Brent Beckett officiating. Entombment will follow. Charles was born May 26, 1919 in Huntington, WV a son of the late James Russell and Emma Wysong Duke. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII and retired in 1987 from the former INCO Alloys. Charles was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman and was a member of the Orchard Hills Country Club and the former Glenbrier Country Club. Survivors include his wife of 74 years, Loyesell Duke, a daughter, Marsha Duke, a son, Patrick Duke and a niece, Virginia Kirkwood all of Huntington. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in his name. Chapman's Mortuary Huntington is assisting the family.
