Obituary



Eldine Marie Cooper Johnson, 88, of Huntington, born November 22, 1927, passed from this life Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at her residence. She was preceded in death by her husband Arvin Johnson and a son, John Johnson. Mrs. Johnson was Baptist by faith and a faithful Christian and homemaker. She was originally from Griffithsville, WV, born to the late Oakey Cooper and the late Thressa Plumley Cooper. She leaves behind two daughters, Mary Beth Graves (Kevin Graves) of Huntington, with whom she made her home, Linda Jean Meadows of Charleston, WV, and a son, Kenneth Allen Johnson (Sue Johnson) of Huntington; four grandsons, Danny Johnson of Salt Rock, WV, Kolby Johnson (Sara) of Barboursville, Mark Mason Graves (Rachel Harris) of Proctorville, and Jacob A. Graves of Huntington; three granddaughters, Sarah Beth Johnson Bias (Steve) of Portsmouth, OH, Kendra Johnson of Charleston, WV, and Laura Stollings of Wiki Watchee, FL; six great grandsons, Ian, Silas, Kolby, Landon, Isaiah, and Caanan. four great granddaughters, Moregan, Elissa, Kaya, and Sarah; a sister, Mary Rose Kirshner and a dear friend, Ruth Garrettson, There will be a private service held at Orchard Hills Memorial Gardens, Griffithsville, WV.
