Robert Gene Lemon, 81, of Milton, WV, husband of Carrie Harless Hensley Lemon, died Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Robert was born February 12, 1935 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late John Russell and Ruth Marie Hensley Lemon. He was a retired Staff Sergeant from the U.S. Army. Additional survivors include: three step-daughters, Linda Hensley Williamson of Prichard, WV, Sandra Gail Hensley Miller of Huntington and Diana Lynn Hensley Brooks of Goodlettsville, TN; four step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; a sister, Patsy Lemon Floyd and husband Clyde of Huntington; and a nephew, John Floyd and wife Stacy and a great-niece Chloe Floyd, all of Barboursville. The family requests to omit flowers. Military graveside rites will be conducted 1:00 pm Monday, May 2, 2016, at Forest Memorial Park, Milton, by Veterans Honor Guard Post 16. Visitation will be from 12:30 pm to 1:00 PM Monday at the cemetery. Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, is assisting the family.
