Obituary



Aaron Kent "Rocky" Gibson, 58, of South Point, OH, died Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, April 18, 2016, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Joseph Hill officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Rocky was born March 31, 1958 in Huntington, WV, a son of Yavette Moore Gibson of South Point, OH and the late Stewart Gibson. He was a Millwright with Local 1755 out of Parkersburg, WV. His wife Elizabeth Ann "Beth" Gibson, brother, Roger Gibson, brother-in-law David B. Looney and his father-in-law Darrell B. Looney, Jr, also preceded him in death. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Aaron K. Gibson II and Christy of Huntington, a daughter, Morgan Gibson of South Point, one grandson, Gage Joseph Gibson, two granddaughters, Adrianna Elizabeth Fortner and Pippa Elizabeth Gibson, one sister, Pam Pittsenburger of South Point, one brother, Michael Gibson and his mother-in-law, Anita L. Looney of Huntington. Friends may visit with the family after 1:00 PM until service time Monday at the funeral home.
