Obituary



James Richard Cutright, 85, of Huntington, widower of Patricia Linville Cutright, passed away Tuesday, July 12, in the VAMC Huntington. Funeral service will be conducted 3:00 pm Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Chapman's Mortuary, with Pastor Jamie Gump officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, with military graveside rites conducted by American Legion Post 93, Kenova. He was born July 15, 1930, in Huntington, a son of the late Jay Palmer and Artie Mae Duncan Cutright. One sister, Maxine Smith, and one brother, Donald J. Cutright also preceded him in death. He was a US Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict, and retired as a produce manager from AandP. He was a member of the former Otterbein United Methodist Church, the American Legion Post 93, Kenova, and the VFW Post 1064. Survivors include three daughters Robbie Ann Roy and Cynthia Gail Gue both of Huntington, and Angela Kay and husband Michael Bailey of Cross Lanes, WV; one son, James Richard Cutright, II, of St. Petersburg, FL; one sister, JoAnn Evans of Charlotte, NC; and a brother, John Cutright of Kissimmee, FL; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Renee Hinchman (Craig), Stephane Danae Suire (Trey), Corey David Gue (Sarah), Jason Michael Bailey, and Nathan Daniel Bailey; 6 great-grandchildren, Calvin Hinchman, Casey Hinchman, Allie Hinchman, Sophia Suire, Tallon Suire and Benjamin Gue; and one great-grandchild on the way. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
