Obituary



Rodger Lee Scarberry, 67, of Huntington, WV, died Sunday July 3, 2016 at his residence. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday July 7, 2016 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington with Pastors Fred Ramey and Buddy Muncy officiating. Rodger was born March 7, 1949 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Basil Lee and Leola Bias Scarberry. He was retired from CSX and a member of the Altizer Free Will Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Gene Scarberry. Survivors include his wife, Lenore "Punchie" Scarberry, three daughters, Kimberly (Tony) Leader of Catlettsburg, KY, April (Don) Drake of Huntington and Cary (Tony) Lomba of Virginia Beach, VA, one son Joe Willis and fiancée Emma Smith of Huntington, two sisters, Lorene (Phil) McClanahan of Proctorville, OH and Christy (Greg) Cyrus of Ona, WV, 7 grandchildren, 4 great greatgrandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins and very special friends Greg and Sharon Lawson of Barboursville. The family would like to thank daughter, April and Don, grandson, Donald, Judy Johnson, Lorene and Phil, Greg and Sharon, son Joe Willis and Hospice of Huntington for all their loving care.
