Obituary



Virginia Ruth "Ginger" Bradley Davis, 70, of Huntington, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2016 in Saint Mary's Medical Center. She was born November 26, 1945 in Louisa, KY, daughter of the late Celsus and Zelda Ekers Bradley. She graduated from Louisa High School and attended Morehead University and Marshall University. Over the years, she worked many years in the administration offices at St. Mary's School of Nursing and later at Marshall School of Medicine. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie Ray Davis; brother, Billy Frank Bradley; a sister, Minnie Eunice Bradley Black; brother-in-law, Gene Wallace Black; and her son, Bruce Davis. She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Paul E. and Sandy Davis of Huntington; daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Mickey Hypes and daughter-in-law, Molly Davis, all of Florida; sister-in-law, Mary Bradley of Louisa, KY; grandchildren, Garrett (Sara) Davis, Tyler (Rachel) Davis of Huntington, Crissy Michelle Elkins, B.J., Alexander, and Ashley Davis, all of Florida,; two great granddaughters, Kyla and Kaylee Hypes, both of Florida; nephews, William Franklin (Vicki) Bradley, Billy, Casey Scott (Brittony) Bradley of Louisa, KY; and great nephews and niece, William Blake Bradley, Lauren Faith Bradley and Herbert Connor Bradley, all of Louisa. She is also survived by additional family, friends, and wonderful neighbors. Visitation will be Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 pm Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Greenlawn West Cemetery, Louisa, Ky., with Rev. Bobby Workman officiating. Donations may be sent to the American Heart Association in her name.
