Larry Gene Thomas, 69, of Huntington, WV, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2016, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. He was born July 14, 1946 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Roy and Gladys Armstrong Thomas. Other family that preceded him in death are Aunt Garnett; Uncle Norman (Johnny) Justin Armstrong; a special mention to Edna May Day Armstrong, deceased grandmother who raised Larry after the passing of his beloved mother; Iva Armstrong Ransbottom, who took care of Larry after his grandmother Edna Day Armstrong passed away; step brother, Roy Thomas; step sister, Carolyn Thomas; and grandfather, Floyd Armstrong. He was a member of 25th. Street Pentecostal Church. Survivors include: his aunt and caregiver, Rena Armstrong Skeens of South Point, OH; his cousin and caregiver, Tim Armstrong; and additional cousins, Norman "Butch" Armstrong, Steve Armstrong, John Armstrong, Ronnie Armstrong, Donnie Armstrong, Vivian Armstrong Fraley, Karen Armstrong, Sharon Armstrong, Bobby Inscoe, Raymond Lee Armstrong, Betty Chaney, and Jack Armstrong. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 8, 2016, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington. Burial will be in Miller Memorial Gardens, Miller, OH. Visitation will be one hour before the service on Tuesday at Chapman's Mortuary.
