James E. Griffing, 71, of West Columbia, WV, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016, in Pleasant Valley Hospital, Pt. Pleasant, WV. He was born June 15, 1944, in Huntington, WV, a son of the late James Everett and Myrtle Bartram Griffing. James was a self-employed carpenter. Survivors include two daughters, Sheila Bowen and Rebecca Crank, both of South Point, OH; five sons, Greg Griffing and Jimmy Dale Griffing, both of Huntington, David Griffing and Mark Griffing, both of South Point, and James Griffing, Jr. of Chesapeake, OH. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, April 2, 2016 at Greenlawn Cemetery, South Point, OH.
