Jerry Lynn Jaynes, 78, of Huntington, husband of Lois Smith Jaynes, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017 in St. Mary's Medical. A memorial service will be conducted at 3:30 Sunday, December 3, 2017, at Chapman's Mortuary, with Pastor Jerry Warren officiating. He was born March 8, 1939, in Hamlin, WV, son of the late Homer and Naomi Vickers Jaynes. He retired from ACF Industries as a welder, and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Survivors in addition to his wife include; one daughter and her husband Deborah and Hayes Johnston of Harrodsburg, KY; one son and his wife, Timothy and Patty Jaynes of King George, VA; one sister, Janet Deason of Hernando, FL; and two grandchildren, Christin Jaynes and Nicholas Jaynes. There will be no visitation prior to the service.
