Marjorie Bobbitt Marks, 98, of Madisonville, KY, formerly of Huntington, widow of William McKinley Marks, Jr., died Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at her residence in Madisonville. She was born July 27, 1919 in Newport News, VA, a daughter of the late Clifton A. and Anne Maude Dixon Bobbitt. In addition to her parents and husband, she had a sister, Evelyn Hinerman; a brother, Thomas E. "Jack" Bobbitt; and a son-in-law, Michie Baumgarner precede her in death. Marjorie worked formerly as a designer for Spurlock's Flowers. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Baumgarner of Madisonville, KY; a son, David A. Marks of Madisonville; a granddaughter, Ann Marie Mays and husband, Jackie Mays of Las Vegas, NV; and two great grandsons, Zachary Mays and Garrett Mays. Graveside service will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the Rome Cemetery Mausoleum with Pastor Michael S. Chapman officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery. Friends may visit after 1:30 pm at the cemetery.
