Edward Roger "Edard" Hensley

Edward Roger "Edard" Hensley, 62, of Huntington, WV, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Rev. Greg Creasy officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. He was born October 6, 1947 in Catlettsburg, KY a son of the late Charles Ray and Madge Conley Hensley. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Charles Wilbur Hensley and an infant sister, Carol Sue Hensley. He was a machine operator for American National Rubber for 35 years, where he was a strong union man, and he managed Imperial Lanes for three years. He loved bowling, gardening, and was an avid Pittsburg Steeler fan. He was a Baptist by faith. Survivors include: his wife, Sherry Hix Kain Hensley; a son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Natasha Hensley of Fort Gay, WV; a daughter and son-in-law, Jeannie and Damon Nunnaly of Ashland, KY; three grandchildren, Paige Hensley of Fort Gay, WV and Trace Hensley and Kayla Hensley, both of Kenova, WV; two step sons, Davie Kain of Huntington and Steve Barnette of Snyder, TX ; a brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Debbie Hensley of Greensburg, PA; a sister, Marva Bellomy of Ceredo, WV; two special nieces, Sheila McCoy and Kim Shafer; and his loving companions, Tobie, Spuds and Rascal.
