Lena Mae Roy
(June 28, 1920 - August 10, 2010)



Lena Mae Roy, 90, of Barboursville, WV, Loving Mother and devoted child of God went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday August 10, 2010 at her residence. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday August 14, 2010 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington with Pastor Fred Anderson officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Park, Barboursville. Lena was born June 28, 1920 in Hubball, WV, a daughter of the late Lloyd & Lieuary Fry Adkins. She was a member of the Hash Ridge Baptist Church, Barboursville, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband Glen Roy, one sister, Ruby I. Damron, five brothers, Jerald Ray, Wandel Lee, Charles Wilson, Sgt. Edward Earl and Glen Marcus Adkins, and one granddaughter, Pamela Michelle Roy. Survivors include two daughters & sons-in-law, Delores Ann & Charles I. Carroll, Jr., Ruth "Tootsie" & Elmer Lewis all of Huntington, two sons & daughters-in-law, Leslie Arlen & Gail Roy, Ronald Lee & Theresa Roy all of Barboursville, four grandchildren, Denise Ann Carroll & James, Jessica Leann (Ernie) Spence, Charles Thomas "CT" (Tonia) Carroll, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Lewis, seven great-grandchildren, all local, three sisters, Bessie Harris of Sweetland, WV, Ruth Maxine Rader of Connersville, IN, & Glenna Marcella Vaughn of Huntington, three brothers, Lloyd Oscar Adkins of Lesage, Everett Franklin Adkins of Sacramento, CA, & Coy Dennis Adkins of Barboursville, and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces & nephews and in-laws. Friends may call at Chapman's Mortuary from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Friday August 13, 2010. Contributions may be made to Hash Ridge Baptist Church, c/o Helen Smith 1602 Hash Ridge Rd.
