Elder Mae Holley
(October 21, 1925 - March 19, 2010)


Elder Mae Holley, 84, of Huntington, WV, died Friday, March 19, 2010, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral service will be conducted 12:30 PM Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, by Pastor Timothy Arthur and Rev. Truman Maynard. Burial will be in Baylous Cemetery Salt Rock, WV. Elder Mae was born October 21, 1925 in Logan County, WV a daughter of the late William and Sarah Queen Donahoe. She worked in food service in both Huntington State Hospital and Cabell Huntington Hospital, from which she retired. She was a member of the 26th St. Baptist Church since 1953 and attended Living Water Revival Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Holley: one daughter, Miranda Jane Holley Blankenship; two brothers, Chester and Thurman Donahoe; and a sister, Lenora Curlin. Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth Gale and James Bates of Huntington and Dollie Mae and Paul Cazad of Ironton, OH; a son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Deborah Holley of Huntington; a brother, Mason Donahoe of TN; a sister, Naomi Jenkins of Huntington; ten grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; several close cousins and friends; and a special friend, Ruth Brown. Friends may call at Chapman's Mortuary from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Tuesday, March 23, 2010.
