Loreta E. Leighty, 92, of Winfield, WV, died Saturday March 20, 2010 in CAMC Teays Valley. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday March 22, 2010 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington with Pastor Jerry Chapman officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park. Loreta was born February 20, 1918 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late James J. & Ida L. Chapman Sharp. She was a member of the Dunbar Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Frank Leighty, 1 brother James Sharp & 1 sister Juanita Hall. Survivors include 1 daughter Carrie L. Toney & husband Blucher (Blu) of Front Royal, VA, 1 son Frank H. Leighty of Winfield, WV, 3 grandchildren Ronald Miles of Knoxville, TN, Kimberly Berlinski of Wheeling, WV, & Randy Lee Stephens of St Albans, WV, 4 great grandchildren, Heather & Amber Dawn Stephens, Justyn & Stephanie Lee Ann Berlinski, 1 great great grandchild Dylan Stephens and 6 nieces & nephews. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Huntington. Friends may call after 1:00 PM Monday at the funeral home.
