Rudolph W. Moore
(August 18, 1927 - March 31, 2010)



Rudolph W. Moore, 82, of South Point, OH, husband of Evelyn Nicholas Moore, passed away Wednesday March 31, 2010 in Jefferson Manor, Louisville, KY. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday April 3, 2010 at Chapman's Mortuary with Rev. Paul R. Farley officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville, WV. He was born August 18, 1927 in Huntington, WV, a son of the late Thomas O'Neil and Ona Kilgore Moore. Two sisters, Nancy Sanns and Evelyn Jean Moore, and two brothers, Tommy Moore and Marty Moore also preceded him in death. Rudolph served in the U.S. Navy. His career started as a painter with Painters Local Union 813, then he decided to open two service stations in the area, one being an Ashland Oil Station and an Amoco Oil Station in the Eastern Heights area. He also operated a U-Haul franchise at Russell Creek. In addition to his wife, whom he would have been married to for 64 years this April 7th, survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and John Justice of Marietta, GA, and Diane and Charles Greenwell of Louisville, KY; two grandchildren, Shauna Justice of Marietta and Jennifer Hatfield and her husband, Bryan Hatfield of Sarasota, FL; six great grandchildren, Haley Justice, Avan Payton, and Weston, Tyler, Brayden, and Katie Hatfield; a sister and brother-in-law, Alice Lee and Luther "Kirby" Kirby of Huntington; and several nieces and nephews including special nieces Rhonda Dement and Robin Stewart.
