Chester "Earl" Carter, Jr.

Chester "Earl" Carter, Jr., 62, of Lesage, WV, died Saturday September 18, 2010 at his residence. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Tuesday September 21, 2010 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington by Rev. Phillip Bowen. Burial will be in Greenbottom Memorial Park. Earl was born March 4, 1948 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Chester Earl Carter, Sr. & Joyce Avis Stevens Carter. He was a retired Fireman-Oiler from CSX Railroad. Earl attended Community Holiness Chapel of Lesage. He loved his family, friends, church and his dogs. Earl was an avid sports fan with a special love for golf. He was also preceded in death by four infant brothers, Brad, Gary, Larry & Baby Boy Carter. Survivors include two brothers, Danny Carter & wife Carol of Vinton, OH, & Pat Carter & wife Kelli of Huntington, three sisters, Faye Carter, Wanda Oldaker & husband John and Lucy Dornon & husband Jason all of Lesage, six nieces & nephews, Matthew Oldaker, Melissa Oldaker Chafin & husband Joe, Justin Oldaker & partner Lora Frazier, Andrew Dornon, Hogan & Heidi Carter and one great niece Carly Oldaker. Friends may call at Chapman's Mortuary from 6:00 until 9:00 PM Monday September 20, 2010.
