Ray Dotson "Butch" Robinson, 66, of Huntington, WV, died Sunday September 12, 2010 in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 12:30 PM Thursday September 16, 2010 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington with Pastors Tom Jeffrey & Paul Holton officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Butch was born March 28, 1944 in Williamsburg, WV a son of the late R. Dotson & Mary Lou Maxey Robinson. He retired from Special Metals in 2002, from the Maintenance Department at Burnaugh, KY. He attended Macedonia Baptist Church & served on the Board of Directors of Trivantage Credit Union. He attended Marshall & DeVry of Chicago. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Paul E. Robinson & his stepmother, Helen Robinson. Survivors include his wife of 47 years Donna Sears Robinson whom he married on August 13, 1963, sons, Donnie Robinson & wife Connie, special grandsons, Nicholas Robinson & girlfriend Kelsey Willis, Brandon Robinson & girlfriend Amanda Adkins all of Huntington, Robert Robinson & wife Amy special grandchildren, Sydney & Sam Robinson all of Proctorville, OH., his sister, Jane Lawless & husband Tom of Ironton, OH., and a host of special friends and neighbors. Friends may call at Chapman's Mortuary from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Wednesday September 15, 2010.
