Clarence Junior Jones
(July 19, 1933 - September 5, 2010)



Clarence Junior "Grandpa" Jones, 77, of Huntington, WV, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2010, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday, September 9, 2010, at Chapman,s Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Jeffrey Arthur and Rev. Albert Yester officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington. Junior was born July 19, 1933 in Mason County, WV a son of the late Clayton Isaac and Rosa Bell Lowe Jones. He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Betty June Jones; four sisters, Irene Cremeans, Thelma Yester, Neoma "Ginny" Judy, and Carrie Hanshaw; and three brothers, Richard Clayton Jones, Linville Clinton Jones, and Mars Everett Jones; and a granddaughter, Deann Gibson. He was retired from building maintenance for the former Barboursville State Hospital and Children's Place and he attended Fourth Avenue United Methodist Church. Survivors include: his wife, Aileen Jones (Neen); two daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria Jean and Gary Bowen of Ona, WV and Shelia Ann and Richard Holley of Huntington; four grandchildren, Sharon Collins of Ona, Tracy Burd of Huntington, Stacie "Jake" Thompson of Ona, and Michael Burd of Huntington; eight great grandchildren; a sister, Juanita "Bonnie" Ayers of Huntington; and several nieces and nephews. Donations may be made to Fourth Avenue United Methodist Church or Hospice of Huntington. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at Chapman's Mortuary.
