Charley Watts, Jr.
(May 8, 1931 - September 20, 2010)


Charley Watts, Jr., 79, of Huntington, husband of Emma Morton Watts, passed away Monday, September 20, 2010 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the Philadelphia United Baptist Church, Lavalette, of which he was a member, with Pastor Don Napier officiating. Burial will follow in Community Memorial Gardens, Wayne, WV. He was born May 8, 1931, in Wayne County, WV, a son of the late Charley Watts, Sr., and Verna Wallace Watts. His first wife Bethel Ernestine Perry Watts also preceded him in death. He was a US Navy veteran, and was a retired engineer with the former Norfolk and Western Railway, and the Norfolk Southern Railway. Survivors in addition to his wife include: one daughter, Lisa Bias of Ona, WV; sons, Todd Watts and daughter-in-law Beckey of Charleston, WV, Dana K. Watts of Ashland, KY; a daughter-in-law, Kelly Watts of Kenova, WV; 7 grandchildren, Steven Bias, Christopher Bias, Dana Keith Watts II and wife Mary Grace Watts, Sarah Watts, Allyson Brasseur, Kady Watts, and Conner Watts; one great-grandson, Gabriel K. Watts; two step-sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Dana Snodgrass and Roxanne of Weirton, WV, Timothy and Diana Snodgrass of Poca, WV; step grandchildren, Mark and Lauren Snodgrass, David and Casey Snodgrass, Adrianna and Jeremy Mynhier, Casandra Snodgrass, Morgan Snodgrass and Brook and Matt Piquett; step great-grandchildren, Makayla Arbogast, Luke Mynhier, Harper Piquett, Hunter Piquett, Addison Snodgrass Paul Snodgrass and Luke Snodgrass; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Paul B. and Lynn Watts of Kenova and Fred And Phyllis Watts of Delaware, Ohio. Friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, and after noon Wednesday at the church.
