Phyllis Lee Day
(January 15, 1939 - September 25, 2010)



Phyllis Lee Day, 71, of Purdy, MO, formerly of Huntington, WV, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2010, at Cox Monett. She was born January 15, 1939 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Clinton and Pansy Mae Berry Spears. Phyllis was also preceded in death by her husband, Carlos A. Day on February 28, 1981 and a grandchild. She was a former member of Hand of God Church in Huntington and was a member of Freedom Worship Center, Purdy. She is survived by a daughter, Teresa Tindle of Purdy; two sons, Gary Day of Purdy and Greg Day of Cassville, MO; a sister, C. Sue Campbell of Green Bay, VA; a brother, James Spears of Morristown, TN; grandchildren, Bryan Harrison, Dreama Hamlin, Kevin Day, Scott Day, Megan Day, and Staci Day; eight great grandchildren; and a very close friend, Chuck Wormington. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, October 2, 2010, at Woodmere Memorial Park Abbey of Remembrance, Huntington. Burial will follow. Friends may call from 1:30 to 2:00 PM Saturday at the Abbey of Remembrance.
