Obituary

James Edward Adkins
(February 19, 2014)

James “Jim” Edward Adkins, 71, of Huntington, WV, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2014. He was the son of Drewie and Dorothy Adkins and was preceded in death by his sisters, Marilyn Howard and Hazel Lucas and brother, Bill “Bootie” Adkins. He is survived by his loving wife, Alma Ruth; step-son, David Fraley of Huntington; step-daughter, Darla Bentley of Scottown, OH; sister, Joyce Howard of Chesapeake, WV; brothers, Claude and Jesse of Huntington; four grandchildren; five nephews; and four nieces. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, February 21, 2014, at Chapman’s Mortuary. Funeral will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery.
