Peter Cline Gerlach

Peter Cline Gerlach, 72, of Huntington, WV, passed away Monday, February 24, 2014, in St. MaryÂ’s Medical Center. He was born August 2, 1941 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Owen and Kathryn Holstein Gerlach. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. Gerlach; his only beloved brother who died just three days prior, Richard Michael “Mike” Gerlach; step daughter, Deann Gibson; and two grandchildren, Zachary Wilisch and Tracy Burd. He was retired from CSX and was a friend of Bill W. Survivors include: his five children, Peter “Little Pete” (Gerlach) Perry, Paar Wilisch, Pepsi (John) Richardson, Tony Gerlach, Duff (Rebecca) Gerlach; two step children, Gloria “Dee” (Gary) Bowen and Sheila (Richard) Holley; several grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Lana Gerlach; and a nephew, Chris Gerlach. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 PM Thursday, February 27, 2014, at Chapman’s Mortuary, Huntington, with Douglas Peters officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
