Samuel Arrick Barnes

Samuel Arrick Barnes, 46, of Huntington, WV, died Thursday February 13, 2014 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. A Celebration of Life will begin at 6:30 PM Tuesday February 18, 2014 at Chapman’s Mortuary Huntington with his special friend Brent Casey officiating. Sam was born November 7, 1967 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Samuel Nelson & Cecelia Ellen Maxwell Barnes. He was a MP in the Army serving in Panama during “Just Cause”. He was on the Board of Directors of the Hershel “Woody” Williams Medal of Honor Foundation. Survivors include a daughter, Samantha Marie Barnes & a son Spencer William Barnes both of Glen Burnie, MD, two brothers, Thomas Charles & Timothy Aaron Barnes both of Huntington. In lieu of flowers donations in Sam’s honor and memory may be made to the Hershel “Woody” Williams Medal of Honor Foundation, P.O. Box 9548, Huntington, WV 25704. Veterans Honor Guard Post 16 will conduct Military Honors. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5:00 PM Tuesday.
