Obituary



James Donald Campbell, 81, of Huntington, WV, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018, at his residence. He was born February 19, 1937 in Huntington a son of the late Clyde Campbell, Sr. and Ellen Wilkinson Campbell. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Campbell; a son, Rodney Scott Campbell and three siblings, Dora Dingess, Clyde Campbell, Jr. and Bertie Bowen. He was a 1956 graduate of Huntington East High School; a retired supervisor for KYOWVA; and was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. Survivors include: four children and their spouses, Mark Campbell and Michael Figg of Huntington, Raymond Todd Campbell of Gurnee, IL, Jamie Ahler and Tim Ahler of Huntington and Amanda Campbell and Paul Congleton of Huntington; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Aaron (Sharon) Campbell of Virginia, Alexander (Cathleen) Campbell of Huntington, James Brandon Campbell (Katlin Blevins) of Kentucky, Justin Ahler, BreAnna Ahler, Alyssa Ahler, and Brock Congleton, all of Huntington; and two great grandchildren, Aubree Campbell and Aiden Ahler. Graveside services will be conducted at noon Friday, August 24, 2018, at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with Pastor Norman Stickler officiating. Entombment will follow. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to noon Friday at the cemetery. Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, is assisting the family.
