Obituary



Icy Eplion, 92, of Huntington, widow of Richard Lee Eplion, Sr., went home to be with the Lord on Friday August 24, 2018 from St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Monday, August 27, 2018 at Chapman's Mortuary with Pastor Larry Skidmore and Pastor Doug Spurlock officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. Icy was born January 21, 1926 in Putnam County, WV, a daughter of the late Jack and Emma McCoy Jude. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Jean Houck and her husband, John Houck; and two sons, one an infant, Phillip Eplion, and Rodger Lee Eplion and his wife, Jo Eplion. Icy was a former Avon Representative, and homemaker. She was the oldest member of Second Guyandotte Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Patricia Beaman of South Point, OH; two sons, Richard Lee Eplion, Jr. and his wife, Gladys Eplion of Huntington, and Danny Eplion of Proctorville, OH; her extra kids, David and Pat Poole, and Lorene Plybon; and19 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, and 13 great great grandchildren.
