Obituary

Helen Frances Casey, 91, of Huntington, WV, passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2018, in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington. She was born October 22, 1927 in Amherstdale, WV, a daughter of the late Edward and Ethel Matson Casey. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Edward Casey and three sisters, Eileen Reinhart, Katherine Moody, and Barbara Kuhn. She was a graduate of the "old" Man High School and loved going to the class reunions. Helen was a member of Highlawn Baptist Church, and most recently attended Community of Grace United Methodist Church. She volunteered for the St. Mary's Medical Center Gift Shop for more than twenty years. She worked for several local businesses over the years, ending her career providing customer service in the banking industry. She loved travelling to visit family and friends, especially to be part of their holiday celebrations. She always kept track of everyone's birthday, anniversaries and other milestones. Helen will be remembered with love by several nieces and nephews, their families, and a host of other family and friends. The family would like to thank her friends and neighbors at West View Manor, Huntington for looking out for Helen, bringing her coffee and home-cooked meals and making sure she was okay, which helped her to live independently a little longer, and a special thanks to the staff at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House for the tender, loving care they provided in Helen's last days. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at Chapman's Mortuary, Huntington, with Pastor Donna Hinkle officiating. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.
