Here is a photo of the family of John Hollandsworth & Lena Maude (Peyton) Hash of Tom's Creek, Cabell Co. taken about 1942. John was a son of Joseph William & Elizabeth (Moxley) Hash. Maude was a daughter of Elisha & Catherine (Scites) Peyton. They were married Oct. 14, 1903. Left to right in the back are Eula Elizabeth (Mar. 7, 1908 - Jan. 17, 1987), Olivia Virginia (Mar . 14, 1914 - ), Ruby Myrtle (Nov. 2, 1904 - Sep. 30, 1999), Orville John (Dec. 24, 1911 - Jan. 29, 1995), Naomi Maxine (Apr. 6, 1923 - Dec. 5, 2003), Mildred Catherine (Mar. 14, 1910 - Feb. 2, 1998). The front row left to right: Lt. Homer Harold (Jan. 1, 1919 - Nov. 9, 1944 -Killed in WWII), John H. Hash (Oct. 11, 1874 - Aug. 14, 1968), Lena Maude Hash (Oct. 6, 1884 - Feb. 2, 1971), Col. Leonard Earl (Dec. 15, 1920 - Nov. 13, 1979). John & Maude lived on what was originally the Peyton farm at the mouth of Tom's Creek their whole lives. Col. Leonard Hash's widow, Jeanette (Clay) Hash, still lives on the farm. The Peyton Family cemetery, which holds the graves of many of Maude Hash's ancestors, is also located on the farm.  (photo courtesy of George Swann)
