Ruby A. Adkins, 90, of Huntington, widow of Albert G. Adkins, passed away Tuesday October 4, 2016 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Sunday at the Reger Funeral Chapel by Pastor Jerry Matt. Burial will follow in Hewlett Cemetery, Louisa, KY. She was born August 19, 1926 in Louisa, KY, a daughter of the late Nancy Burchett Hewlett. She was a former employee of Big Bear and a member of the Westmoreland Baptist Church. In addition to her husband and mother she was also preceded in death by brothers Clyde and Dayton Hewlett and sisters Reo Gifford and Maude White. Survivors include two sons and daughters in law Albert G. Adkins, II (Anna M.) of The Woodlands, Texas and Larry D. Adkins (Della) of Huntington; four grandchildren Robert S. Adkins (Kathleen), Erica L. Sapienza, Jennifer R. Graham (Justin) and Dennis M. Adkins; two great grandchildren Alexandra Adkins and Angelina Sapienza and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 6 to 8 pm Saturday at the Reger Funeral Home.
