Obituary



Alma Maynard Keeney, 92 of Huntington, WV passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Heartland of Riverview, South Point, Ohio. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Reger Funeral Chapel, by Dr. C.J. Adkins. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park, Huntington. Alma was born July 25, 1924 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Thomas and Sena Maynard. She was a former supervisor with Huntington Industries and a member of Westmoreland Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Carl Edward Keeney, two brothers, Kinner Maynard and Curtis Maynard, four half-brothers, Jesse Maynard, W.D. Maynard, Taylor Maynard and Sylvester Maynard and two half-sisters, Flora Zerkle and Hilda Perry. Survivors include, two sons: Thomas “Tom” (Jaime) Keeney of Rome, Ohio and Robert “Bob” (Shelley) Keeney” of Huntington, WV, four grandchildren: Brandon Keeney, Britani Ledbetter, Summer Keeney and Heather Keeney and one great-grandson, Payton Keeney. Additional survivors include one brother, Wilbur (Alene) Maynard, five sisters: Bertis Campbell, Edna Faulkner, Florine ( Charles) Bohannon, Roberta “Bobbie” (George) Stone, Avenell “Nell” (Ray) Roach, three sisters-in-law: Flora “Skipper” Maynard , Barbara Keeney, Carol Keeney Kilgore and a multitude of nieces and nephews. Also surviving are special friends, Steve and Sherry Waggoner, and neighbors: Jim and Betty Reed and Jim and Betty McAlister. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday, October 21, 2016 at the Reger Funeral Home.
