Claude Wallace Huxham went home to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, October 3, 2016 at the age of 87. Claude was born in Huntington, WV, December 9, 1928 to Stuart and Arletta (Wilson) Huxham. After serving a tour of duty in the United States Army ending in 1953, he married his wife of 63 years Carol Joyce (Smith) Huxham, June 6, 1953. They made their home together in Columbus, OH until they moved to northern Minnesota with their younger daughter in 2013. He worked faithfully as provider and devoted husband, as well as Sunday school teacher and usher at Calvary Bible Church in Columbus, OH. Claude is survived by his wife; his daughters Claudia (Paul) Muller and Laurian (Tom) Halverson; brother John (Marilyn) Huxham; ten grandchildren Daniel (Sarah) Muller, Lydia (Ben) Yarborough, David, Hannah and Stephen Muller; Care, Teresa, Naomi, Jovanna and Juan Halverson; and nine great-grandchildren Jonathan, Samuel, Karissa and Caleb Muller; Holden, Camden and Eden Yarborough and Sapphire and Tidus Petrie. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Daniel Duane; sister-in-law Jerri Huxham; and his parents. A graveside service will be held October 9, 2016 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Duane Smith officiating in the Huxham Family Cemetery, Overby Rd., Huntington, WV. Military rites will be performed by American Legion Post 93 of Kenova.
