Obituary



LUCY VIOLA DORSEY, 87 of Ceredo, W.Va., widow of Ernest Lowell Dorsey, went to be with her Lord, on Thursday October 27, 2016, at Heartland of Riverview, South Point, Ohio. Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Hillcrest Cemetery, Kenova, W.Va., by Pastor Scott Byard. Burial will follow. She was born May 31, 1929, in Ceredo, W.Va., a daughter of the late Russell Patterson and Nettie Bellamy Stephenson. She was a member of Ceredo Baptist Church. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter Robin Dorsey and sister Alice Lee Porter. Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Thomas (Deborah) Dorsey, Fred (Kim) Dorsey, Randy (Tina) Dorsey and Jon Dorsey; grandchildren Stephen Dorsey, Justin Dorsey, Elyse Dorsey, Bryan (Jennifer) Dorsey, Taylor Dorsey, Eryn Dorsey, Keyes Dorsey, Danielle (Allen) Pouti and Jennifer Dorsey; nieces Gail Banks, Lisa Diamond, Joe-Ella Hanlin and several others; cousins Susan Bellamy and David Bellamy. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Heartland. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until noon on Sunday at the Reger Funeral Home. A procession will leave for the cemetery at noon on Sunday.
