John Baxter Hysell, 73, of Huntington, passed away Saturday, October 22, 2016 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted by Brother Frank Donnelly at 1 pm on Friday, October 28, 2016 at the Reger Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Spring Valley Memory Gardens. John was born on January 11, 1943 in Huntington, WV to the late William and Lula Jarrell Hysell. He was a retired employee of Holiday Inn at Barboursville. In addition to his parent John was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Tina Cooper; five brothers, Robert, Russell, Ralph, Kennith and Lawrence Hysell; and one sister, Virginia Smith. He is survived by one son, John Hysell of Huntington; two daughters, Kristal Hysell and Kevin Goodpaster of Lesage, WV and Angela Hysell and Rick Martinez of Toledo, OH; two step-sons, Jesse Plybon of Toledo, OH and John Cooper of Huntington; three step-daughters, Daisy Samples of Milton, WV, Janie Harvey and Jennifer Cooper both of Huntington; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister, Jeanne and Jim Hogsett of Barboursville; sisters in law Sue Hysell and Janice Hysell and several nieces and nephews; and his former wife Sarah Hannon of Milton, WV.
