Matilda “Tillie” Lee Wagoner Beckett, 84, of Ona, West Virginia went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, October 26, 2018. She was born October 13, 1934, to the late Lee Bishop Wagoner and Emma Helen Wagoner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ira L. Beckett to whom she was married 54 years and her brother John Wagoner. She is survived by her sons Marty (LeeAnn Grass) Beckett of Ona, Tim (Shelli Doddridge) Beckett of Milton and John (Lisa Lambert) Beckett of Ona; six grandchildren Heather (Jon) Beckett Wallace, Zachary (Erika) Beckett, Trey (Anna) Beckett, Tanner Beckett, Savannah Beckett, and Sawyer Beckett; two great-grandchildren Hannah Wallace and Beckett Wallace, and another great grandson due in 2019. She is also survived by two brothers, Doug Wagoner and Bob Wagoner. Tillie was a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Ona, and a member of Gideon’s International Auxiliary. She loved watching her grandchildren grow up and attended as many athletic and academic functions as she possibly could. She was their number one cheerleader. She leaves behind nieces, nephews and many friends. The family would like to thank the staff of Midland Meadows for all of their care and affection during her final years of life. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 Monday, October 29, 2018, at Wallace Funeral Home in Barboursville. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington.
