Tennessee Farley
(November 22, 1937 - October 18, 2018)



TENNESSEE FARLEY, 80, of Barboursville, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 18, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, October 21, 2018, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Minister Delmer Adkins and Minister Emual Adkins. Burial will be in Jones Cemetery. She was born November 22, 1937, in Wayne County, a daughter of the late Wetzel and Lucinda Mills Lester. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Stella Holley; four brothers, Roger "Whitt," Ottie, Hiram Lee and Charley Lester; and two grandchildren, Daniel Anthony Marcum II and Christopher Stephen Marcum. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Acie Farley; four daughters, Lovevona (Robert) Eaves of Huntington, Loretta Marcum of Barboursville, Lorraine (Miles) Owens of Kitts Hill, Ohio, and Visa (Joe) Thompson of Chesapeake, Ohio; one son, Phillip (Cathy) Hudson of Lavalette; one sister, Norma (Lowell) Godfrey of Amherst, Ohio; three brothers, Thurman Lester of Columbus, Wetzel Lester of Huntington and Lonnie (Charlotte) Lester of Culloden; one sister-in-law, Helen Lester; two granddaughters, Lovevona Mae (Tim) Chastain and Emily; five grandsons, Scottie, Adam, Iszack, Jayden and Gage; two great-grandchildren, Haileigh and Makayla; and a host of family and friends. The things that gave her the most joy were going to church, her family and gardening. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
