Elma Jean Thompson
(April 4, 1937 - October 4, 2018)



Elma Jean Thompson, 81, of Proctorville, Ohio, passed away Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2018, at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. She was born April 4, 1937 in Salt Rock, WV, a daughter of the late Herman Ward Keyser and Ocie Keyser Edwards. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Edward Thompson. She is survived by her one son and daughter-in-law, James Brent and Julie Thompson of Proctorville; one sister, Virginia Sue Perry of Huntington; one brother, Jerry Keyser of Eureka, MT; four grandchildren, Alex Thompson, Robert Thompson, Sydney Thompson and Tori Thompson; and one niece, Tammy Woodall. Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Monday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, 3100 Staunton Road, Huntington, WV 25702.
