Stanley Davis Lambert, of Kenova, WV, peacefully entered the gates of Heaven on Monday May 9, 2016. Born on September 6, 1929 in Kenova WV he was the son of the late Stanley and Elizabeth Lambert. He was a graduate of Kenova High School and Marshall University. Stanley proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. After serving his country he returned home where he worked as an accountant at Armco Steel for 35years. He was a proud member of the American Legion Post 93, whose members will conduct military graveside rites, an avid Marshall fan, and a faithful member of the Big Green. Stanley was preceded in death by his parents and his mother-in-law Edith Wolfe. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife Sharon Lambert. Stepsons and their wives Dwayne and Christy Jordan of Barboursville, WV and Justin and Annette Jordan of Hedgesville, WV, four grandsons Garrett, Luke, Peyton and Austin who brought joy and laughter to their PaPa T, siblings Joyce Meyer of Albuquerque, NM, Floella Frazier (Keith) of Tuscaloosa, AL, Yvonne Arrington (George) of Ashland, KY and Ronnie Lambert (Gail) of San Antonio, Texas and several special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday May 13, 2016 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington by the Reverend Thom Malcom. Interment at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville, WV. The family would like to thank Vickie Maynard and Derenda Weekly for their loving care of Stanley. Visitation will be from noon until 2:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.
