Carole Rose Sanders, 82, of Huntington, widow of Jack L. Sanders, passed away Sunday May 1, 2016, in Saint Mary's Medical Center. She was a homemaker. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Crook Chapel Church where she was a member, with Minister Jerome Whitfield officiating. Burial will be in Crook Cemetery. She was born March 31, 1934 in Bear creek Ohio, a daughter of the late James Edward and Myrtle Elliot Black. In addition to her parents and husband, one sister, 3 brothers and a special son-in-law, Robert L. Ray also preceded her in death. Survivors include: one daughter, Debbie Ray of Huntington; a son and daughter-in-law, Rodney A. and Opal Sanders also of Huntington; two sisters, Ruth Hensley of Chesapeake, OH, and Mae Gifford of Dayton, OH; three grandchildren, Aaron Ray, Rodney A. Sanders, Jr; and Austin Sanders all of Huntington; and a host of nieces, nephews and other friends. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Tuesday at Chapman's Mortuary.
