Obituary


Samuel Ray Brown, 63, of Huntington, WV, passed away Monday, November 14, 2016, in Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born June 19, 1953 in Huntington a son of the late William Howard and Susie Marie Travis Brown. His son, Samuel "Sambo" Hart, also preceded him in death. He was a self-employed mechanic. Survivors include: his wife, Martha "Farfy" Brown; a daughter, Shelley Cox of Huntington; a son, Michael Corns of Chapmanville, WV; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Carolyn (Larry) Gue of Huntington and Brenda (Barry) Smith of Gallatin, TN; a brother, Bill (Judy) Brown of Springfield, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Friday, November 18, 2016, at Chapman's Mortuary, with Pastor William Barry Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 pm Friday at Chapman's Mortuary. There will be a celebration of his life gathering at the Link Up Church, 13th.
