Obituary


Richard Allen Parker Passed away on November 9th, 2016 at the Emojene Dolen Hospice House, with family and loving friends by his side.  He was born in Cabell County, Huntington WV on March 13th, 1961. The son of Richard F. Parker and Bobbi Adkins-Parker. He is preceded in death by his mother and both maternal and paternal grandparents and 1 sister Cindy Adkins.  Richard is survived by his father, Richard (Buddy) Parker of Huntington. 1 sister Becky Maynard (Don) of Loris, South Carolina. 2 daughters, Ashley Parker of Ona, Wv. Kaitlyn Campbell of Milton, Wv. 1 granddaughter Kaleigh Spencer of Ona, and 1 grandson Tate Ward of Milton.  The majority of his professional life he spent as a chef and an entrepreneur running many successful restaurants of his own, mostly around the Myrtle Beach South Carolina area.  He spent the last several months of his life with his dad and the guys at Carsons Auto Auction in Kentucky and talking with his daughters and friends.  We would like to thank Hospice for all of their loving care at home and in his final days at the Hospice House. We would also like to with our most sincere hearts thank John and Kimberly Hathaway for their gracious hospitality, opening their home to him so he could be with his family.  We will have a Celebration of Richards life on Thanksgiving Day at his eldest daughters home at 141 Bethesda Drive Ona, Wv 25545.
