Obituary



Thelma L. Jarrell of Huntington, WV, went to be with the Lord Saturday, November 19, 2016, at home surrounded by her family. She was born a daughter of the late Roy Adkins and Ethel Adkins Bush. Also preceding her in death was her loving husband William H. Jarrell, Sr., sisters Elizabeth Armstrong, Peggy Cremeans and Charlotte Dyer;, and brother, Tommy Adkins. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 pm Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Chapman's Mortuary. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park. Thelma is survived by her three sons, James E. Chapman and wife Cathy of Grayson, KY, William H. Jarrell, Jr., and wife Tammy of Branchland, WV, Charles Eric Jarrell and wife Garnet of Huntington, WV; and daughter Patricia C. Jarrell and wife Angela of Huntington. Additional survivors include one sister, Katherine Flannery of Phoenix, AZ; brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Sally Adkins of Fairfax, VA; special nephew R. Scott Dyer of Huntington; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren; and best friend "Little Gene". The family would like to thank Hospice of Huntington, her home health nurses, and caregiver and niece Ruth Dyer.
