Obituary



Emanuel Zachariah "Mike" Xenos (95) of Huntington WV, passed away on Thursday, November 24th, 2016 in Roanoke, VA. Funeral service will be conducted 10:00 AM Wednesday November 30, 2016 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington with Father Mark Elliott officiating. Burial will be in Ridgelawn Memorial Park. He was born August 14, 1921 in Ambridge, PA. He was the son of the late Emanuel and Moska Xenos. Mike was preceded in death by his wife Billie Lou Xenos, one daughter, Stephanie Elizabeth Black and her husband Rodney Black, two brothers, Johnny Xenos, Pete Xenos and his wife Betty, and his second wife Judith Hendrix Xenos. He was a Purchasing Agent for the J. H. Fletcher Company for over 40 years, and was a proud U.S Army/Air Corp veteran. Mike was also a member of the St. George Greek Orthodox Church in Huntington. Survivors include one sister, Caroline Arseniu (Father George) and their children JoAnn and Billy of Raleigh, N.C. Two son's Michael (Sindy Kisner) of Albany, GA and John (Kim) of Indianapolis, IN. Four grandchildren Stephen Black, Amy Purdue (Larry), Michelle Truitt (Travis) and Matt Xenos (Laura), 5 great grandchildren, and niece Tonya Stewart (David). The Xenos family would like to extend our most sincere thanks to Donna Paradiso and her family for the special care and love provided to our father over the past few years. A special thanks to the Hendrix family for the joy they brought our dad during his later years spent with their mother. Finally a very special thanks to Mark Gibson who loved, appreciated and cared for dad as the third son that he was to him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association in our father's name. Honor Guard Post 16 will conduct military graveside rites. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 7:00 PM Tuesday November 29, 2016 at Chapman's Mortuary.
