Obituary

James Michael Adkins
 (May 31, 1948 - April 16, 2010)

Mr. James Michael Adkins, 61, of Huntington, died Friday April 16, 2010at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Tuesday April 20, 2010 at Chapman's Mortuary, with Pastor Randall Sites officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. He was born May 31, 1948 in Huntington, a son of the late Emery and Martha Goolsby Adkins. He was retired from the US Air Force. He was a member of VFW Post # 1064, whose members will conduct Military Graveside Rites, and was a member of American Legion Post # 16 and the D.A.V. He is survived by his wife Marsha Sites Adkins, a daughter, Tina Adkins of Huntington, a son James Adkins of Chicago, IL, grandson Austin Adkins of Huntington, sisters Sharon Tomlin and Linda Hoover of Huntington, and a brother, Marshall Adkins of Huntington.
