Clifford Deer

Clifford Deer, 90, of Huntington, WV, died Thursday April 29, 2010 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday May 3, 2010 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington with Rev. David Fairburn officiating. Burial will be in Greenbottom Memorial Park. Clifford was born December 24, 1919 in Athens County, OH, a son of the late Fred Deer, Jr. & Beatrice Perry Deer. He was retired from Local 132 Operating Engineers of which he was a lifetime member, & a member of the Bible Apostolic Church. He was preceded in death by his wife Genevie Lee Deer, and 2 sisters, Janette Branchfield & Mary Ellen Bruce. Survivors include one daughter; Judy K. Deer of Huntington, one sister Katherine Romans of Fla., many nieces & nephews, 5 sisters-in-law & 3 brothers-in-law; Frances & Curly Caldwell, Emma & Ted Bryant, Betty Knight & Rosemary Knight all of Huntington, Inez & John Jobe of Barboursville. Friends may call at Chapman's Mortuary from 4:00 until 6:00 PM Sunday May 2, 2010.
