George Hartley Farrar, 79, of Barboursville, WV, died Thursday April 22, 2010 in St. Mary's Medical Center. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday April 26, 2010 at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington with Dr. David B. Lemming officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. George was born November 25, 1930 in Calhoun County, WV a son of the late Walter C. and Roxanne Reip Farrar. George retired from the former INCO Alloys and was a member of Lewis Memorial Baptist Church. His first wife Donna Adams Farrar and his second wife Barbara Ann Tonkin Farrar, 2 sisters, Maxine and Alice, 2 brothers, Bill and Clay, preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife Ann K. Farrar, children, James Hartley Farrar of Barboursville, Sandra Farrar, Mitchell W. Farrar and wife Jennifer all of Huntington 3 grandsons, Evan Hartley Patterson, Luke Thomas Farrar and Noah Andrew Farrar, and 1 sister Geraldine Marks of Parkersburg. Friends may call at Chapman's Mortuary from 2:00 until 4:00 PM Sunday April 25, 2010.
